Job Description
Chef de Partie is responsible for the running of a specific kitchen section, the pastry and baked foods section, in any restaurant. The pastry chef de partie works independently most of the time. However, depending on the restaurant, the chef may also manage and supervise junior chefs. A chef de partie is also known as a line cook or station chef.
Pastry chef de partie job duties and responsibilities include: Assists senior chefs with food preparation and cooking . Prepare pastries, baked goods and fresh deserts for the restaurant/hotel Assists the banquet manager in the preparation and coordination of banquets Works with the sales and marketing team to market the hotel/restaurant Trains junior kitchen staff Assists with the planning of menu Oversees meal preparation and service Ensure that food stations are well stocked before and during meals Assist with the enforcement of health standards Assists the head chef in dealing with hitches within the kitchen Salary: Not Disclosed by Recruiter
